12. Pinterest API Integration
Selmori uses an internal application called “Selmori Content Publisher” to connect Selmori’s Pinterest Business account with an AI-assisted content publishing workflow. This integration is available only to authorized Selmori staff and is not offered to customers or the general public.
Pinterest Data We Access
With authorization from the Pinterest account owner through Pinterest OAuth 2.0, the integration may access:
- Selmori’s own Pinterest Boards and Pins.
- Board and Pin identifiers, names, titles, descriptions, links, images, and related metadata.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens required to authenticate official Pinterest API requests.
The integration does not collect Pinterest passwords, browser cookies, or session credentials, and it does not scrape Pinterest.
How We Use Pinterest Data
Pinterest data is used only to:
- Publish Selmori-owned fashion product images and links as Pins.
- Create and organize Selmori Pinterest Boards.
- Update or remove content selected by authorized Selmori staff.
- Read back Selmori’s own Boards and Pins to verify completed API actions.
- Troubleshoot and maintain the Pinterest integration.
Publishing, updating, and deletion actions require an authorized Selmori staff member to review or approve the requested action.
AI-Assisted Processing
OpenAI Codex may assist authorized Selmori staff in preparing Selmori-owned content and issuing user-approved commands. Pinterest data returned by the API may be displayed within the authorized Codex task only to complete or verify the requested action. Selmori does not use Pinterest Materials to train, fine-tune, or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Pinterest App credentials, access tokens, and refresh tokens are not included in AI prompts. They are encrypted and stored locally on Selmori’s authorized Windows workstation. Processing through OpenAI Codex is subject to the applicable OpenAI account data controls and retention settings.
Storage and Security
The local connector does not maintain a separate database or cache of Pinterest API response data. It calls the Pinterest API when data is needed. The only data persistently stored by the connector are its non-secret configuration and the App Secret and OAuth tokens required for authentication.
The App Secret and OAuth tokens are encrypted locally using Windows Data Protection API security associated with the authorized Windows user. Selmori uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect Pinterest data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse.
Data Sharing and Sale
Selmori does not sell, rent, disclose, or make Pinterest API data available to third parties for their own independent purposes. OpenAI Codex is used only as the service interface described above to carry out authorized, user-directed actions. Selmori may disclose information where required by law.
Retention, Revocation, and Deletion
OAuth tokens are retained only while the Pinterest connection remains authorized or until they expire, are revoked, or are removed from the authorized workstation. Authorized Selmori staff may revoke the app in Pinterest account settings and remove the encrypted local credential files from the authorized workstation. After revocation or removal, the connector can no longer access the account.
For questions, access requests, or deletion requests relating to the Pinterest integration, contact Selmori at service@selmori.com.
